Evelyn Chao’s musical journey began early in her childhood, starting with piano lessons at age five and violin at six. Her passion for piano led to several accolades, including First Place in the Atlanta Music Teachers Association Romantic Impressionistic Piano Competition and Second Place in the Maryland State Music Teachers Association Spring Piano Solo Festival.
Transitioning her focus to the violin, Evelyn has become an integral part of prestigious youth ensembles such as the Georgia Gwinnett Symphony Youth Orchestra and the Maryland Classic Youth Orchestra. Her talent has taken her to perform at notable venues like the Infinite Energy Arena in Georgia and Strathmore Music Hall in Maryland. In addition to her proficiency in piano and violin, Evelyn enjoys playing the flute for leisure. She finds joy in making music with her two younger sisters, whether performing at school events, family gatherings, or senior living centers. For Evelyn, music is a powerful connector of hearts and minds.
